The program included both Hebrew and English songs, pieces that were written especially for the choir, excerpts from classical music, and spirituals. The special musical arrangements provided a unique combination of jazz and classical music. The concert was a huge success, and was warmly received by the audience.
In May 2013, the Ramat Gan Chamber Choir embarked on a week-long tour of Germany. The choir performed in several venues, including in the cities of Heidelberg, Darmstadt and Frankfurt. Some of the concerts were held for local Jewish communities, who gave us a warm welcome. The choir also enjoyed meeting and singing with the German-American Community Choir of Frankfurt.
The tour repertoire included classical works by Morales, Mozart, and Schubert), Israeli pieces (by Zehavi, Baht and others.) and Spirituals – a combination which won applause and compliments from the audience.
The Ramat-Gan Chamber Choir has released a disk of choral music excerpts. The selections range from music by leading classical composers, to Ladino masterpieces, to favorite Israeli classics.
